I bought a 2004 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 from Diehl Suzuki in August 12 2008. I just have turned 18 and I only had a part time job. It was financed through Toyota Finanical Services.The monthly payments were $488 a month.In October 2008 I had the 2004 Toyota Tacoma Repoed I had no choice due to the high payments. They should of not have given a $488 a month loan to someone who only works around 20 hours week which is part time. I believe I was a victim of their predatory lending practices due to the fact they could of helped me if they really wanted to but they choose greed over helping someone. I blame Diehl Suzuki for what has happend and I will not let them get away for what they have done to me.

I say well guess what my attitude changed on what I (thats right I) not Diehl Suzuki has done or Toyota Financial Services. Yes I now know that yes I am personally responsible for whatever I may or may not do. To me the past is the past and now I learned from my mistakes and move on. It took me a couple of months to figure that out. But yes people do mistakes no one is prefect its human to make mistakes whether minior or major.

You and you alone are responsible for making the decision to take on a $488 monthly payment. The car dealership is not your accountant. It is not their job to determine what you can or cannot afford. You signed a contract agreeing to pay that amount. Before you turned 18, it was up to others to make these decisions for you. Now that you are old enough to sign a contract on your own, you'd better get used to being responsible for holding up your end. Your attitude seems to be that the dealer is responsible for looking out for your interests. If you keep that attitude, you should resign yourself to the fact that you will always be taken advantage of.

I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint but they won't do anything I only got a letter saying that its basicly my fault because I was the person who signed the contract for the loan. However, I still believe Deihl Suzuki is responsable for what happend they gave me a loan for $488 a month and they knew I didn't meet the requirments for a loan. I still believe they have practice predatory lending.

Jason, the dealership did nothing wrong, you showed interest in the truck, they simply sold the truck to you, a lending instituition approved you for a loan, and you gladly took ownership of the vehicle. At any time you can always say"no" you can walk away from any deal if you feel you are "over your head". In this instance it looks like you did neither. What did the dealer do so wrong? If $488 a month was out of your budget why didn't you say "No I can't afford this payment". So many times consumers overlook their budget for "style" or "substance".
