I got Jodie Goodison to take pictures for my daughters first birthday.  I paid an arm and a leg for these services, as your kid only turns one once.  I paid for the initial $75 upfront for the session fee.  Then I had to pay UPFRONT a $600 for my purchase.  I thought this was unusual, bcuase normally you would get to see proofs first before purchase.  She did come highly recommended from a friend, so I took a chance on her.  Biggest mistake and disappointment of my life.  My daughter is my world and I wanted to have great pictures of her on this special day.  It was pretty disappointing to say the least.  She is not a photogopher.  SHe is just someone who owns a camera.  She was late, rude, and mean to my child.  My dauhgter would not stop crying and Jodie yelled at her.

The photo shoot happened ten months ago.  I still haven't recieved my pictures from her, or any explination from her.  Its a good thing I used my camera phone for my daughters birthday, at least I have a few pictures it.  Right now, I would like my money back.  I am thinking of taking her to small claims court.

As Jodie ably pointed out; it appears the poster of the original report has no record (other than a fantasy) of the photo session; otherwise I'm sure we would know of such by now.    I will state that I have had no direct dealings w/ DigiKidz but I know very well and highly trust someone who does know Jodie Goodison.     What is posted in the above report is the total opposite of who Jodie is.    And I have reason to suspect the person(s) posting this report is/are the same people ourselves & others are having issues with because of honest reviews posted of them (their business).    If Jodie is watching this; you know of whom I refer.     Dishonest, vindictive, nasty, NASTY people.    As a final comment; this site provides AJAX spellchecker (thank you ROR) for those more inclined to texting than proper English.    Why didn't the poster use it?

Small Claims Court?

Firstly let me say how sick I felt after reading your experience with Jodie Goodison owner of Digi KidZ Photography. I really feel for you and understand what you are going through. I too regrettably paid UPFRONT, but I fortunately have proof. Unlike you, I did get photographs - but was totally dissatisfied with my experience. I wish you had posted your complaint earlier - I would have thought twice about dealing with Jodie.

I hesitated about writing a comment, as my negative experience causes me much anxiety and I would prefer to leave it in the past and learn from my stupid/naive mistake. The reason I am writing this is to see whether you have filed a complaint with the 'Small Claims Court Sask' as you had mentioned on another site? If not you should be aware of the following: "There are time limits on when a court action can be started. Usually it is two years from the time the loss or injury is discovered." If you have further information to share, please advise me and other consumers of the outcome as this information will help all.

All the best to you and your little one, and remember justice prevails in the end.

In retrospect, it is quite possible that the author of the initial report has been the victim of a scam artist. Especially when one takes into the consideration that a $600 charge was paid in advance to receiving any product. Jodi does not do this. I urge the author who believes they have been victimized to contact Jodi Goodison and clarify the situation, in person if need be. Slandering someone on a public forum and especially in a manner that may damage their personal character and their livelyhood is a very serious offence and may be subject to legal action. I sincerly hope that this matter is rectified and if any illegal dealings have been performed that the guilty party or parties are brought to justice.

I read the report in regards to the Digi Kidz rip off and quite honestly was more than a bit surprised and completely appalled at the contradiction to what actually is the truth. This report does not describe anything except the exact opposite of what is Jodi Goodison's character, professionalism and talent. I say this because Jodi has done amazing work for us in the past that we regret to this day that we could not retain with us when we moved.



We have known Jodi for more than 20 years and can state with the complete confidence, that we have yet to find anyone with the unique talent, demeanour, patience and professionalism that Jodi possesses. Her passion for her work is revealed in the final product and can only be described as "amazing" by the harshest of critics. I do not believe for one second that she "yelled" at a child especially one that is celebrating their first birthday. We KNOW that when dealing with small children, Jodi has what can only be described as "the patience of a saint"!



As I stated in a Facebook post regarding this report, Jodi Goodison can produce a better portrait using nothing more than a Crayola Crayon than anyone else using a $1000 camera. Anyone can look at her portfolio and see what they can expect when they employ her talent. They would be cheating themselves from having some of the most important and memorable moments of their lives captured forever in the highest quality and professional manner available no matter the cost.



I firmly believe that who ever filed this report is doing this not out of consumer interest, but more from a personal, self serving stance either arising from jealously or a personal vendetta and no amount consideration as factual reporting should be attached to it.

Great experience with digi kidz photography

Hi I am a former customer of Jodie Goodson and would like to say that my experience was completely professional.  She is an exceptional photographer who specializes in kids photography.  She was so energetic and patient with my children they enjoyed getting their pictures taken which is no easy task.  I was not asked to prepay for my photos and there was a contract which was followed to a tee.  Jodie also is known for her wOrk with children with disabilities specifically autism where she provides free photo shoots.  I have recommended her services. And would continue to recommend digii kidz photography to all of my friends and family.

This is very disappointing to read this because my business records clearly show that no such photo shoot ever took place.  It is true that I ask for a $75 sitting fee, however, I have never asked for $600.00 upfront before a client purchases their prints.  This is just a cheap attempt by someone, I do not know, to malign my character and draw negative attention to my business.    In an effort to challenge these outrageous comments, I ask the author to answer the following questions;

 Where did the photo shoot take place? Exact date of when the shoot took place?  Which photographer took the pictures? Which assistant was with the photographer?  What props, if any, did we bring? Please provide a copy of the Digi KidZ receipt. Lastly, the one thing you should be able to do without a doubt,  is provide a copy of the Digi KidZ contract that we make EVERYONE sign before a photo shoot ever takes place.  You know, the contract with both of our signatures.

This is clearly a hoax.  If not, then I'm sure you won't mind stating who you are, adding your contact info, answering all the questions, and adding a photo of the DK contract.
