I purchased a Digimate 27", widescreen, HDTV-ready (no built-in tuner) LCD TV from my local Brandsmart, USA store.

As most of you know, Brandsmart only has a 7-day return policy.

Aroound our second week of owning the TV, we noticed 2 things that seemed to be wrong:

Whenever there was a fairly consistent sound (e.g. in a sports game, when just the crowd noise is audible, or when a "clicking" sound is made repeatedly in a video game as you scroll through a menu), it would increase dramatically in volume! This makes watching/playing anything on the TV incredibly annoying.

The TV features 2 viewing modes - 4:3 or widescreen. The only problem is that it lacks a logical option for a program like "E.R.", whcih is broadcast in widescreen. When you're watching in 4:3 mode and you can see the horizontal black bars on the top and bottom of the screen, you should be able to zoom to widescreen mode on the TV. When you do, the TV stretches out the image horizontally and still leaves the bars on the top and bottom (thereby creating a distorted image)!

I've fired 3 different emails to Digihome and their parent company, EMI Global. I received one response where somebody asked for clarification but I haven't heard anythign abck in over 5 weeks. When you call, they don't have a Customer Service or Technical Support Center - all they have is a voicemail box at an extension where you have to leave a message! None of my messages have been returned.

They also haven't responded to the complaint I filed with the Better Business Bureau.

I seem to be out of options...
