Purchased a digital printer for $97,000 CONTINGENT on inspection to verify printer is in good condition.
I flew a technician to inspect and, contrary to brokers statements, the printer was found to be in poor condition, requiring an additional $100,000 in repairs to bring up to functionality.
On purchase agreement it is written, and email chain it was stated, from Mr. Craig Sarote that "If equipment is not a go then we would fully refund your deposit immediately". We have contacted Mr. Craig Sarote requesting the refund with no answer - 3 phone calls, 3 emails. We would like this to be remedied without legal costs but are unable to get any sort of response.
Apparently we are not the only ones with issues with this company

Since last updated we decided to have the Durst HS decomissioned and shipped to our facility (might as well get something for our $$ - even if it's just parts).
Digital Equipment Broker/ Mr. Craig Sarote's attorney threatened us with legal action if we didn't clarify our previous statements indicating we now have possession of the "Lemon".
We received a quote for repair from Durst for $118,136. This is for the printer that was advertised "all printheads, feed system, sticky belt, dryer in FULL WORKING CONDITION". Also included in his purchase agreement "If machine is not as stated above deposit is fully refundable". Also False.
Do not do business with this man or Digital Equipment Broker. I hope this satisfies his attorney.
