Direct Capital Corporation Lied. Stated $ 429.00 was application fee for loan. $ 429.00 was for credit report you can get free. Portsmouth New Hampshire

3/4/09 Cold called by Jeff Thrush, Direct Capital. Spoke to him as I had gone on their website. Professionaly done, it appears they are a reputable company who lends money or obtains financing on your behalf.

After stating I would be interested in a short term loan to support day to day operations, as our customers are paying but paying slowly, he said he could help. Stated there was a $ 429.00 application fee to obtain financing. A representative would contact me within 2 days and the final determination would be available in 5 to 7 days. I agreed and gave him my credit card number. Said I would receive an initial report in my e:mail within 30 minutes. I did but did not click on the link to obtain my report until 4 days later.

3/8/09 Clicked on the e:mail link. Not allowed to view "the report" until after you accept their terms not to sue them. The report was my personal credit report and my company's D & B report. Also, information about how I can improve my credit scores. All of which I monitor and receive for free. Right then I knew this was a scam.

3/11/09 Called this morning by a Direct Capital rep to review "the report". Only after repeatedly demanding answers from him did he acknowlege the $ 429.00 was not an application fee. The $ 429.00 was for credit counseling relative to "the report" so that I could increase my credit score and go get financing or he would send me paperwork to sign from a company that charges 7% to see if they can obtain financing.

THEY FLAT OUT LIED. THIS IS FRAUD.
