Direct Fairways over promised their advertising program and try to upsell you and won't refund nationwide

We were contacted by one of Direct Fairways salespeople (Ryan) and told about their advertising program.  Initially was told of the thousands of people that would see the ad and how great it would be to bring in more business.  We signed up but then a couple days later, Ryan called again, telling us that the ad we purchased wouldn't get that much traffic and he wanted to upsell us to a center full page ad.  He said he would give us a great deal to upgrade.  We were thinking about it but then Ryan just kept calling and calling and pushing and pushing and pushing.  He would not leave us alone.  We did not feel comfortable at this point working with Direct Fairways and did not trust what they were selling.  We emailed to cancel our advertising spot.  We never heard back from Ryan or Direct Fairways until 7 months later when they emailed us asking where our artwork was for the ad.  We had thought our ad was cancelled and our money refunded already, but it wasn't.  They said they absolutely were not going to refund our money and we had to keep the ad.  We explained that we were still speaking with Ryan, the sales rep, about upgrading our ad so we never decided on which one we wanted.  We explained we emailed to cancel over 7 months ago.  They said that didn't matter and they weren't going to refund anything.  They didn't care that Ryan was so pushy that it made us not trust the company and not want to do business with them.  They didn't care if we posted about them online.  They didn't care that we were still talking about advertising programs with them but wouldn't cancel.  THey said if we spend more money with them, we can cancel the first contract.  If we don't, then we are stuck.  DON'T USE DIRECT FAIRWAYS!  THEY WILL PROMISE THE MOON AND THEN TRY TO  UPSELL YOU TO A MORE EXPENSIVE ADVERTISING SPOT.  THEY WON'T LET YOU CANCEL.  THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY!
