This outfit advertises a Satellite Direct TV system that receives over 3500 TV channels through your computer monitor so that you can cancel your cable TV service, etc.  They say that you can try out this system for 60 days and if your not satisfied with it, you can request a refund of the software cost.  The web site claims that they are offering a special price of $49.99 for this software instead of the usual $149.99.  I thought I would try it out and see if it was any good, so ordered it and you have to pay for it through credit or debit card.  The advertised categories of stations for the most part were not accessible so it didn't take me 60 days to determine that I was not satisfied with the product, so contacted them at the email address they have for customer support.  This turns out to be a loop connection where it automatically kicks your refund request over to a Technical Support problem and not a refund request.  I have tried contacting them several times to request a refund of the money paid but there is no phone number, address or any other manner to contact them besides this looped email address.  While I will not starve from the loss of this money, I feel that this outfit is merely a scam and out to rip people off for whatever they can.  While I may not be able to get my money back, I feel that by alerting people about this place, might just save someone else from going through what I am.

Refund through clickbank

AUTHOR: Scott - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 23, 2010

First off I do not work for clickbank or this other company but maybe I can give you some info to help you get your refund.

First off these small online companies contracts with Clickbank who is a very legit company out of Boise, Idaho.  They are an affiliate management company which basically handles the billing for these smaller on-line vendors.  But as part of this contract the money that you paid though clickbank to this company is held for 60 days and not paid to the vendor.

When you ordered you recieved an email reciept that actually came through the clickbank system and it has a transaction number on it.

Go to www.clickbank.com.  Go to the top of the page and click on "order help".  In that page you will enter the transaction number along with a verifying piece of information (very easy).  Go through the refund request and you will get the refund.  Because under the terms of the vendors agreement it is clickbank who makes the ultimate decision to return the money and not the company.

Again I have had experience with this as a consumer several times and it is a breeze but it is important that you are under the 60 day time frame for the no questions ask refund.  Best of luck.

This outfit actually goes by the name of SatelliteDirect TV.  They are somehow connected with another outfit called Clickbank.  I have found out this much about it, but everything elde including an address, phone number and physical location is carefully hidden from the prospective customer.

With this being the case, you have very little that you can do to rectify any wrong done to you by this outfit, unless somebody out there has some suggestions.
