Direct TV And Allied Interstate Harrassment Columbus Ohio

My oldest daughter subscribed to Direct TV, and then, due to needing to move to another city in order to provide better for her children, she had to let her subscription go. Instead of working with her Direct TV turned the account over to Allied Interstate. She has been job hunting, and she has offered to pay what she can, and has asked for a current bill. She is called daily, sometimes more than once, and told that the bill was sent, and that it's her problem if it didn't arrive. She only wanted a copy of the bill, and she would gladly make this situation right. She has never had any intention of not paying, she only wants a copy of her bill. But, instead, they just call her daily, making the stressful situation of trying to raise two young children, job hunting and managing her very limited finances yet more of a burden. Harrassment of those who really want to make the situation right isn't the way to ever handle getting the money. Any one of us could be out of a job tomorrow with limited finances. Working with those people creates a feeling of goodwill and through word of mouth your business increases. Most people are very open to making the situation right. Allied Interstate gives Direct TV the feeling of not promoting that goodwill. Realise this is just my opinion, but, if someone would just work with this child calmly instead of harrassing and creating yet more stress in her life, she wants to do the right thing, they are making it so hard for her to do that. All she has asked for is a current billing statement... In April of this year she did work out a payment plan with Allied Interstate and gave them her bank account number and asked them to deduct monthly towards what she owes. Today (June 7, 2006), they called her and told her that they weren't able to deduct from her account and began the harrasement and threats again. When she asked why they were calling her two months after she set it up they told her that it wasn't their problem that she should have known and contacted them. She wants to work this out, she wants to pay off the bill, but they are making it impossible for her to do that, just threats,always threats.
