DIRECT T.V. REBATE RIP-OFF Southern Pines North Carolina

I too had been waiting and waiting for that infamous
Direct TV rebate .

On the 1st inquiry , I was told my rebate was "approved"
and that the company had 60 days to submit the check....
I still had 10 days on the 60.... SO I waited......

On the 2nd inquiry , waaaay pasted the 60 day period ,
was told -- yes , that they knew my rebate was way past due and that they were way behind in issuing checks out ......

That she would place me on the "RUSH" list ... and that
was all she could really do for me .

WELL , in the meantime of really blowing my steam......
I came to the rip-off site , just to see if any thing
was in here about this very issue (??) and walah-- I see
that I am not the only victim.... well , as I read through all of the complaints , I gathered my thoughts and RE-CALLED Direct tv's customer service . ( I provided the # I had )

I then told the woman on the phone that I did not wish
to speak to any one , nor did I want her name ( alias's used anyway , and when you ask for a supervisor , do you really get one ? ) I just simply told her my situation about how I have been waiting and waiting for the rebate ..... and that I was just calling to have her PLACE in the NOTES under my account # that I was going down and and filing in small claims court for my 100.00 rebate that was looooong overdue....

Well , as we all know , this is not in the companies best
interest, because where I live , it cost 44.50 to file and once being "sued" I will file also to be REIMBURSED filing fees ALSO plus INTEREST accrued ....
To make a long story short , all you have to do is THREATEN them with small claims court and you shouldn't have any problems as did another man on here complaining advised , I made that THREATNING phone call on monday Feb.10th and the check ( rebate ) was sitting in my mailbox today Feb.13...

So thats pretty d**n fast service you ask me !!!! For being soooooo backed up .....

So try that , it worked for me. And the company knows it will cost them Double if not TRIPLE what they already owe ... If taken into small claims court.
