Direct TV Costco Ripped off by Direct TV with no back-up from Costco Nationwide

I went to Costco and bought service from DirectTv. They promised a great price for year 1 and a price for year two. Half way through year number 1 they increased the price. I called and spoke to two people at DirectTv. They said the equipment price increased but not the programming. The equipment is used now and why would the price go up.

I called Costco with the expectation of them backing me and helping to make the vendor agree to what was promised. They gave me the run around the a special Costco number at Direct. I called spoke to someone who could care less.

I am stuck with the higher price and plan to cancel at the very end of the agreement or maybe drop early and pay the fees. Direct is owned by AT&T now so I expect that kind of service from them, but I expect better from Costco. They should have a special line with Direct that takes care of members. 

On another note, when I signed up I did not want them to pull my credit report as the FICO score will record this. They said that they could run my address and if I own or rent. I let them know the address and own. They said I was approved. Get this, they pulled my credit twice without me giving them my SS number. I am guessing they had it from an old account. I would never give this type of company my SS number. How can they pull my credit with out the SS?

Beware of DirectTv and buying it in the Costco warehouses.
