Discount Indoor Tanning Lotions might keep your skin from getting burned, but definitely not your bank account.  Also, the receptionist/owner would make a perfect greeter at the fiery gates of hell.  Here's why.

1.  The company uses deceptive marketing, a messy text-ridden website and a technically faulty shopping cart to make you think you are getting lotion packets for a dollar with free shipping.  Sounds great right?

2.  WRONG. Only after you pay, do you find out they are actually charging you over $4 shipping PER packet for a total of $60 ground shipping for about 6 ounces worth of overstocked lotion. 

JUST TO SHOW YOU HERE!  The lotion packets cost ten dollars total, so the shipping is over 6 times the price of the product!!! You can express ship a desktop computer and printer for that price.

3.  You are also required to purchase another bottle of lotion, ($40+) OR they charge your credit card anyway and send you ZILCH, not even the lotion packets and that pricey shipping you originally paid for.

4.  This is illegal.  It's forceful, deceitful entrapment into a contract without prior or sufficient knowledge of proceedings.

Anyway, I emailed info@discountindoortanninglotions.com immediately telling them I was more than happy to pay a reasonable shipping price for the lotions I ordered.  The email bounced back.  BUT HERE IS WHERE IT GETS GOOD.

1.  The next morning, i did receive an email telling me if i did not "buy the extra lotion i promised" i was getting charged over $60 and shipped nothing.

2.  When I called and tried to explain my confusion, a woman named Mimi who claimed to be the owner, told me that her site "was genius" and that is was designed by her other venture, "an award-winning marketing and industry firm."  

Oh really.  Bernie Madoff was also a genius who was part of an award winning marketing and industry firm.  That doesn't mean he wasn't also running a satanic, illegal scam.

3.  Mimi went on to explain her scam.  Basically, you can only buy the lotion at the "special price" if you promise to buy something else (without knowing how much it costs prior to giving your credit authorization) or if you sign a EFT (charged monthly) contract with their salon. 

4. I explained to her calmly that just three weeks prior, I had been sold countless packets in person at her Northridge store for the dollar price.  She told me she was having a "fact-finding mission" to find out the employee who "screwed up" and then she was going to terminate her. 

As you can see, this woman is a total sweetheart.

5.  Best part of all.  "mimi" refused to credit my card, and told me that she planned to charge me more money and not ship me more merchandise by midnight if I didn't pay her the crazy shipping fees and make the lotion purchase i had "sworn to complete."

Sworn?  On which good book, praytell.  I told her to google herself by tomorrow afternoon.

Anyway, spread the word, and find a tannning salon/store with honest practices and no she-devils behind the counter.
