 I have purchased T-shirts from Discount Mugs several times.  There price is extremely good.

My most recent batch showed me why the price was so go.  Customer Service and Delivery were TERRIBLE (non-existent).

I ordered the shirts like I had done previously via their website.  I confirmed the Art-work a day later.  T-Shirts were supopse to ship within 7-10 days. 

8 days after confirming Art-Work, I had heard nothing so I dropped a quick email to the Customer Service department - no response. 

9th day, when online to check status - no information.  There electronic/online chat popped up and asked if they could help.  So I started a chat - I asked about my existing order.  They said they couldn't help me with existing order (online chat is only for new orders).  I mentioned that I emailed the customer service department - they said I would have to call.

12th (still without ANY communication on order) - I email and call customer suport.  Email NEVER get answered.  Phone customer support checks into things and after 15 minutes on phone says they will investigate and call me back.

15th day (still without any communications - no update on order, no responses to at least 4 customer service emails, no call back from phone support) - again, I call to get an update on my order.  Another 15 minute wait, they say that they will call me back.  I say that it what I was told 3 days ago and still haven't been called back.  Customer Support person puts me on hold for another 15min - comes back on the line and say she can't get ahold of production manager but it looks like my shirts on the next one on the schedule.  They will ship for sure.  She will track it and call me back with shipping confirmation.  Because of my issues, she has talked to customer service manager and they will give me a partial refund or an slightly greater in-store credit.  I chose the credit because I was already thinking about another order.

 

16th Day (still no update on order, no responses to emails, no call back from customer support)

 

18th day - finally an email from order department saying my order shipped.

 

22nd days - shirts finally arrive.  Never got a call back.  Never saw an email on credit.

 

24th day - Finally got an email reply to my emails to customer service asking how could they help.  I reply saying that I called and got the order straightened out.  They asked if they can help in any other way.  I said the phone customer support promised me an in-store credit and I wondered how I claim this.  They asked for the details.  I gave them the amount and the story behind it.  They said they would investigate it.  Since then I have replied three or four times - and nothing.  No email/no reply/no communications

I think it is funny that their website says "DiscountMugs.com has a mission to provide quality promotional products with superior customer service. We want our customer service to rate second to none and you will find that we back that up with employees that strongly believe in our vision."

They have failed.  Superior Customer Service means carrying through on committments and ANSWERING emails.

 

So buyer beware - Discount Mugs has good product and good prices.  But there customer support and ontime delivery is an issue.  Don't order if you are on a tight schedule.
