Sam's Discover Card is not created equal to a   r e g u l a r  DISCOVER card.  Sam's club Discover purchases do not provide the same purchase protections you enjoy with a    r e g u l a r  DISCOVER card.  How so?  I found out the hard way.  I bought an electronics product at Sam's that came with a year warranty.  a regular DISCOVER card doubles that warranty against failure.  When I attempted to use that feature at Sam's I was told " NO " because it is a d i f f e r e n t DISCOVER card and they are not required to honor the other DISCOVER card issuers protections.  Now, after having performed plastic surgeory on my Sam's Club Discover Card I am on the hunt for a better card....anyone got ideas???   suggestions ???
