DISH Satellite TV biggest consumer ripoffs ever / do not sign any paperwork with them, Internet

I had Dish Network equipment installed and within 9 months my receivers would constantly lose signal to the point where I did not have any viewable channels. My bill includes a fee for insurance and yet they tell me they will charge me $15.00 to come to my house and get the signal back. They said it may take up to 3 hours and the work would be warranted for 90 days. When I asked what work? They replied getting the receivers to receive signal again. I said I had an insurance on my bill and they replied that if I did not pay the insurance it would cost me $85.00 to come out and restore the signal on their equipment in my house. I asked why I am responsible for their equipment when it was not neglect on my part, they said it was like leasing a car.

I asked her where I should send their equipment back to she said she could not tell me because I had to agree with cancelling the contract terms. I told her I do not agree to their terms of cancellation due to equipment that was not receiving signal and their insistance on charging me for a service call. My bill was paid in full and current up until the time I completely lost service. I now have $347.00 on my credit report.

If not for Ripoff Report I probably would have had the $347.00 charged direct to my credit card. I read a previously written consumer report that said Dish directly charged a credit card of 700 dollars and he paid. I must say that I changed my card #'s before they could charge direct. It does and still will reflect on my credit report for who knows how long.

It would be nice to get some legal action after this company so they can't ripoff any more consumers.
