Disn Network Unauthorized use of debit card !! Littleton Colorado

Imagine opeing up your bank account to learn that your are $43 in the red!!
Live in boyfriend has had an account with Dish network since Nov 2007. We never recieve bills by direct mail due to the fact that Dish Network requires a physical address and there is no rural mail delivery where were live. From time to time he would use his debit card to file pay for sattelite servIces provided by Dish network. On this occaision he had just gotten laid off and was trying to rearrange our finances to allow for this adjustment. Unfortunately he had gotten delinquent with his Dish payment and they eventually disconnected our services.

The next thing we knew they used the debit card we had used authorize
one-time payments in the past and accessed our bank with out prior notice of intent or authorization. Well , as you all well know the fallout effect after that. The bank offered to help file a dispute for us but first told us to contact Dish which I did for him . The bank account was joint and I never authorized such action either.

Speaking with a CSR at Dish I asked the she provide me with the customer agreement that states that Dish Network has the right to access my bank account through the use of a debit card WITHOUT my authorization , after a long time on hold said her supervisor said that since I was no longer getting services from them they did not think they could send me a copy of any such agreement. The more I think about it, the angrier I get and I have been upset all day. I have read the other entries on this site and have experienced that same thing as everyone else . UNAUTHORIZED USE OF DEBIT CARD TO TAKE MONEY FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT. If that was legal anyone that feels they owe you money has the right to get your debit card information and access your account without your permission . THIS IS ILLEGAL UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR !!! Please keep me informed if anyone is considering class-ation lawsuit.

I did email dish requesting a copy of the contract that states they can use my debit without authorizationadn that I intent to contact the BBB and the State Attoney' Generals office if this is not resolved. I sent email to the AG office asking if this is legal and am waiting for a reply.
