They advertise free entry on your birthday which is a great deal if you are not a passholder.

The problem lies when you are a passholder. If you are a passholder and your birthday falls on a valid day for your pass they will provide you with a credit on a gift card for $69 to spend in thier store.

Where the ripoff is that if you happen to be unlucky enough to have your birthday fall on a blackout day, which I did.

If you are on a blackout day they either give YOU entry into the park which means your family can not join you without incurring expensive fees. Who wants to go into the park without your children? That is why we buy the passes (or bought)

The other option is to spend $45 for park entry and then they will give you the Gift card. Again who wants to go into the park without the family?

They are penalizing you because of your birth date? Either they need to be fair to EVERYONE or cancel the program! This is FRAUD! Simple! Selecting specific groups of people over others is discriminating a group of season pass holders. I know it sounds like sour grapes but if my birthday was yesterday they would have not treated me this way! FRAUD, SIMPLE AS THAT!

You are talking about Disney...when was the last time they give you ANYTHING for free. You did have two other options, but even if you didn't want to take those options. You could spend the $45 to get your Blockout ticket, then get your $69(or is it $72) Gift Card. Guess what you still come out at least $24 ahead.

I guess people who have their birthday fall on a weekday when the kids are in school and they are at work are being penalized. I guess people who have a birthday fall on a day they are only open until 8pm instead of Midnight are being penalized. I guess the people who go on a night there are no fireworks are being penalized.

No, the fact is they are being as fair as they can. EVERY birthday person gets a free admission on their birthday, when ever their birthday is. In fact unlike other promotions this is open to anyone not just Southern California residents. Do Non-Passholders who go on their birthday get their entire family(or even one other member) in for free..NO.

If you wanted to spend the day there the only difference is that on a Blockout-Day instead of costing each other member $72 for a One-Park ticket, your other family can get what is basically a Park-Hopper ticket for $45 each. But you don't have to worry about this "fraud" much longer, it ends on December 31st 2009. I guess we will just have to wait for your next RipOff report on how next year in exchange for work on a service project they are giving people a free ticket. After all you already have an Annual Pass.

It's people like you that give us AP holders a bad reputation.
