I had a stress fracture in my foot diagnosed by a podiatrist a few months back. I got a walking boot (with pump) that I was supposed to wear for a month.

3 weeks into wearing this boot, one of the four straps became unglued and fell off. The entire time, I took care of the boot and was very careful, as 1. I was worried about getting better asap for a trip and 2. I knew the boot was expensive and was hoping to use it in future, if time came, or at least sell it to recoup my losses. In all, though, I was amazed that something that costs $300 was made with such cheap glue. I finished up the month by using my own rope/string as a replacement.

Upon receiving the bill, I called the company and told them that I'm not willing to pay $300 for a professional medical boot which broke 3 weeks into using it. I argued I couldn't even use this boot in future, since one of the straps was unglued. The customer service rep explained they have a 2 week return period and at best, that I could come back to the doctor and get a new one to replace the old one. Defeated, I went back to the doctor and turned in my old boot for a replacement & paid the bill.

Fast forward 2 weeks, I re-injured my foot and had to go back into the boot for a month. I'm currently in my 3rd week (AGAIN) and this time, the outside of the new boot's fabric (where it connects to the top strap & the plastic panel going down the side of the boot) is tearing... and will probably completely tear off & render the boot useless in a week or so.

I've attached a picture of the 2nd boot. I don't have one of first, since I thought it was a simple defect & gave them benefit of doubt. Unfortunately, thats not the case.

In summary, I've had 2 boots from this manufacturer and BOTH broke within 3 weeks of wearing the boot (in different places), despite taking extreme care with both boots. Both times, it's very clear that the reason for the breaks were cheap materials, fabric, and design.

Tip for all readers: if you're in need of a medical boot - check amazon or ebay. The boots there cost $30-$50, as opposed to the $300 this company will make you pay. In the spirit of Capitalism, clearly the market has spoken on the actual value of this product.

Do not use this manufacturer.
