DNJ Auto Parts/ enginecomponents Selling Substandard Auto parts!! CA Chatsworth California

I have been a mechanic for the last 30 years the last 15 have been building motors and doing major auto repair. I have been getting upset abought the crap parts and inflating prices from the local part stores. I had a 06 chevy aveo that had lost the timing belt and bent some valves typical scenario. I decided to order everything DNJ to repair the car new valves, guides, head gasket, timing kit with water pump. after the repair, the car was running great. the next day I got a phone call saying the car is being towed back to me? he was on his way to work and he heard a loud noise and the car just died! I have built hundreds of motors but what I discovered happened made me sick! The brand New tensioner disengaged completely trashed the motor.


So I gave the customer back his money and told him I will make it Right. So I called DNJ and explained what happened the lady from the tech department was really nice! she said she would do what she could for me even ask me to send her an estimate for the damage I told her I would have to get another head I did not feel comfortable using the original one being it was showing signs of being cracked My estimate was just a little over $1200.00 this would be my cost pull a different head from the wrecking and rebuilding it again and putting the car back to again. Well, that was 3 weeks ago and the last I have hard from DNJ now I am left holding the bag. So now I think I know why rock auto drop DNJ products! I am so tired of these large corporations selling us inferior products Knowing we can't do crap abought it. So all I can do Is warn other people!
