Dodeals.com tried to get me to sign an option agreement on my home! They are trying to to steal money from people, and screw them out of their homes, at their benefit.

My husband and I are trying to sell our home. Joan from Dodeals.com contacted me from a listing I had on Craigslist. She first said she was interested, I replied and told her that she should come by to look at the house and talk more.

I then received the following email, with an Option Agreement attachment:

"Hi, I'm offering to market your property to our buyers at no cost on your end.  I have attached the agreement form for you to review. Its NOT a contract but an agreement that we can market the house to our buyers. This would simply give us permission to market your house at no cost to you. This is a way to have greater exposure for your deal and to market the house to more buyers and get it sold - at no cost to you.
The agreement is only going to run for a couple of days and that it
won't cost you anything. Its just that we have some buyers right now who might be interested. You may still look for a buyer and sell it before we do so you have the right to terminate the agreement anytime. Thanks"

I tried to call their phone number, but it's just a recording, so I talked with their customer support online. They could not tell me anything about the contract, just kept saying they wanted to "help me".

This company is trying to make money off of people who are in tough situations. It looks like they also have sneaky registrations that charge you money for no reason. Avoid them! If they list your house without permission, or you sign that contract without knowing the consequences, contact a lawyer!
