I have been purchasing my domains from Domains Priced Right for many years now. I owned at one time nearly 100 domains with them. There are some domains that are setup to auto-renew and some aren't. Keep in mind I have 5 different credit cards on file with this company, that I have used in the past.

Particulary, I am talking about 5 domains. Attached to those 5 domains were an invalid card that had expired. I did not have these five domains set to auto-renew.

I was looking at my credit card account this morning and found that they had went into my account, switched credit cards on file that were attached to these domains and used my good card to renew them. I did not give them permission to renew these domains. About 5 days before this, a customer service agent called me to advise these domains were expiring. I advised him, I really wasn't worried if they did expire, but if I got the funds soon enough I would renew them. Well ... they went ahead and took upon themselves to renew them and charge my account.

I spoke to a manager shortly after I found the charge. He basically stated he wasn't sure how it happened. Then, while unsure, he stated it was an automated thing. So I am assuming that after trying one credit card and finding that it didn't work, they went through the rest of them, until they got it to go through. I am not sure, but that's what it sounds like.

The manager told me he would refund the charge.

In the end ... I appreciate the fast response on the refund, but this was completely rediculous. I find that I cannot trust this company with my credit card information and will transfer all my domains to another account. You can make your own choice with choosing them to purchase and hold domains. I won't any longer.
