Domestic Linen Supply The latest victim of Domestic's fraudulent tactics Youngstown Ohio Ohio

We are a smaller bar restaurant. My co-owner entered into a linen contract with Domestic Linen Supply and we started having problems within the first month. The contract was unusually specifc about how to deal with complaints and I followed it to the letter. Problems continued and I continued up the chain of command with great difficult as the company is not responsive to complalints. Eventually they offered partial satisfaction to our compalints but then reniged on the agreement to which their regionsl manager committed. After a couple of weeks of appropriate service, the same difficulties again occured. We were now six months into the contract. I investigated on line and in court dockets and found that we were one of many businesses to experience shortages on product, over billing and double charges, even charges for items  not ordered and difficulty getting a response from the management. They ALWAYS sue companies that cancel their contracts. Even knowing this, we cancelled the contract with consultation of our attorney.

Shortly, the company started sending invoices for prodect they said we didn't return. We did. Then the collection notices for what would have been the charges on the balance of the contract. Then they made demand for arbitration stating we never gave them any reason for our dissatisfation or any opportunity to correct defiences. We had given written, verbal, voice mail and email compalints over a three motnh period. Ultimately they asked for more than 15,000. in dmanages. We went to arbitration as the contract specified, paid $425 arbitration fee and will be responsibile for our attorny fees as well. I jsut got the response from the arbitrator who found AGAINST us. I'm incredulous. He awared them $3,700 less the arbitration fee so about $3,300.

BEWARE!!! BTW, our new linen company is wonderful. Domestic is perhaps not the norm. There are good vendors out there.
