 Please, Please do not hire Don Benedict aka Donnie Benedict aka Donny Benedict aka Xtreme Home Remodeling aka Xtreme Home Remodeling aka Retroplex Custom Home remodeling.  Please google search these names and read the reports.  Please ask for references and do not give large sums for cash advances.  Please search craigslist using whatever phone number he provides.  You will find a number of adds for remodeling, tree trimming, getting your home ready for summer, handyman etc. for the Killeen, Ft. Hood, Temple Craigslist with phone 254-563-6053-this is the phone number he is currently using. Some adds say he has 20 years experience, some say he has 25 years experience, some say he is a Christian, etc.  Don Benedict has had addresses in Plano, Richardson, Sherman,  Garland and now in Temple, Tx.

Don Benedict gave us an esitmate for a 16 x 32 combination studio/workshop.  We accepted his bid.  Unfornuately we did no checking on him outside of our area.  We did not search for information on him.  We gave him for $6,000 on the day we signed the proposal.  Don Benedict went directly to the bank and cashed the check. 

Don Bendict showed up after 11:00 on Monday, July 29, 2013 with approximately $2500 worth of material.  He showed up with 3 other workers.  Don came and went and was gone far more than he was at our residence.  One gentlemen worked really hard.  It was very obvious that of the three remaining and working, only 1 of them really knew what he was doing.

Don Benedict showed up on Wed, July 31st and around 12:00pm he asked for another draw stating he needed to purchase the rest of the material and "make payroll".  We, stupidly, gave him another check for $4500.  Don Benedict went straight to the bank and cashed that check.  He did not come back on Wednesday, July 31st, nor did he show up on Thursday, August 1st.  We called and texted him a number of times and he finally replied stating that he was in Dallas and hadn't seen his kids for awhile and wouldn't be back until Friday, August 2nd.

Don Benedict did show up on Friday, August 31st and left before noon.  Don Benedict told his workers he was leaving to go to the bank and get pizza.  The other workers left around 3:30 pm when they ran out of materials. 

We have not seen Don Benedict since Friday, August 2nd.  Don Benedict did not deliver any more materials.  He took $10,500 from us and only purchased rnough material to frame in the 16 x 32 building.  He did not pay the workers either.
