In May 2016, I paid Don Hales $3500 for a photography course, however due to a family emergency I was unable to attend it and asked for a refund. On June 13th 2016, Mr Hales emailed me the following message:
“I emptied all of my accounts recently to help with a family issue. Right now I’m trying to figure out how I can refund your money”.
7 months on and despite my repeated attempts to get my money back, I have only received $1800.
WARNING!! Please consider very carefully, before giving this man any money. He clearly doesn’t have any in his bank account (otherwise he would have paid me by now). And, he has taken 7 months to pay me half of what is owed.
FYI: I am still in the process of trying to recover the rest of my money.

As of today, Mr Hales has paid me $2100 and owes a further $1400. In addition, he is now trying to make out this is my fault by giving me an ultimatum to remove my post immediately or he will sue.
The only thing I will change is the following statement: WARNING!! Please consider very carefully, before giving this man any money. He clearly doesn’t have any in his bank account (otherwise he would have paid me by now). And, he has taken 7 months to pay me half of what is owed.
It should actually read: WARNING!! Please consider very carefully, before giving this man any money. He has taken 7 months to refund me $2100 of the $3500 I paid him.
