Those who buy anything over the Internet know it's ALWAYS 'caveat emptor'...buyer beware. I thought the whole deal sounded too good to be true what with the 'free' MP3 player, the 'free trial' period and most of all, the very VERY high pressured sales pitch you can't get the operator to cut short even one word. You have to listen to the whole stupid pitch and be very, VERY firm with your 'NO!' ( I didn't even bother with 'no thank you'.)

The item didn't arrive for 2 1/2 wks but my 30 day clock started when I ordered it. Having been bitten b4 I asked the girl when the 30 days started & told her the call was being recorded so she'd best be right. (In Ohio anyone can legally record a call without even telling the other party but I find when I warn the other side I get better results) She admitted as soon as the order was placed the 30 day clock started.

I listened to the DVD once & realized it was FOS. Like the one guy said - all the man does is scream at you to eat less for 30 min. I figured I could tape myself yelling at myself to put down that sandwich using my computer webcam and pay nothing.

I called their customer service to tell them I wanted to return the CD. The operator basically said 'ok, go ahead, no problem' and went to hang up. I stopped her and said 'Don't I need an RMA number?' (I've never had a company that didn't require one for any returned item) Sure enough - I was supposed to put the RMA both INSIDE and OUTSIDE the package!

As far as them claiming they never got their CD back, they're probably not lying. The return address is NOT the same as the original shipping address - which I found out when I asked to verify where to return the CD. I'd bet all the CDs which go to the wrong address are just repackaged for the next sucker.

This is a 100% dyed-in-the-wool scam which preys on the 'I wanna quick fix to lose weight' thinking that pervades American thinking. Funny, but few other countries in the world have these crummy infomercials because their people walk more & eat less. That's all anyone really needs to lose weight: stay out of the center of the store so you avoid those processed high fat/high sodium foods, & eat less calories than you burn. 100% of the people who follow that advice lose weight whereas if you look at the fine print that flashes on EVERY weight loss scam [like Think and Lose] you'll see the words "results not typical".

I've finally gotten that thru my thick head, took up a program where I walk & do gentle exercise in a pool, and eat only fresh veggies I cook myself & grind my own meat so there's no added fat. [Did you know most ground meat is 30% added fat & 10% added water- which the store doesn't need to put on the label because it's not an 'additive' it's 'part of processing the meat'. Funny they didn't need to add water 15 years ago to grind meat].

I've lost 30 lbs so far - but still have 70 to go. I know I need to keep up despite plateaus in weight loss but I've saved a fortune on quick weight loss schemes from prepackaged foods (300.00/mo + you have to still buy a ton of groceries) to an idiot yelling at me that I really didn't want this food. (oh yes I did).

As far as those complaining they got ripped off for being overcharged - what were you doing buying crap over TV when you clearly didn't have enough cash on hand for buying emergency medicine? Or the one who mailed back her package without even getting the post office to send it certified mail? I don't send ANYTHING back to anyone unless I get a receipt. That's common sense. Or those who clearly were NOT listening when the operator kept saying 'you can add this on for a small fee' - what did you think she was talking about? From the complaints I read, you all made things worse by not asking any of the right questions or following common sense procedures like insisting on receipts, or getting the actual date the clock started ticking or how much you'd be charged for shipping & processing after that 30 day clock expired?

There's no doubt that 'Think yourself thin' is a TOTAL rip off. Avoid it at all costs!

At least they don't use an automated order computer. I ran into that asking about a gadget but when I heard they wanted 14.95 to ship an 9oz item I hung up. It'd be in the stores in a few weeks w/o the shipping and I didn't need two of them especially not when the S&H was more than the cost of the item! The company rang me back the next day having gotten my name & number off their computer. I said NO! I DO NOT WANT YOUR ITEM! then hung up. I make sure to tape every call incoming or when I order over the phone so I have proof of what was said.

And if they opt to mail me an item after I say NO then it's mine for free. Caveat emptor: Buyer beware! It was true 3,000 yrs ago & is still true today.
