Donald Fry I was ripped for 500 by a serial con artist. This person I learned had been exposed on Fox News for ripping off an elderly couple in Michigan. Houghton Michigan

I contacted Donald Fry from a flyer he had left on my front porch several days earlier. I was looking to have the steps to the back porch replaced. Mr. Fry came out immediately the same day I called and gave me an estimate of "around 850 or so for labor and wood. He also spoke to my husband who was at work at times so he could give him a more details about the job. On April 18, 2016 I wrote Mr. Fry a check for 500.00 and he was to start in two days. Mr. Fry called me about an hour later asking here he could cash the check instead of waiting for it it to clear the bank.

I directed him to the credit union that the check was issued from. That was the last time I seen Mr. Fry, but spoke to him several times and each time he had an accuse why he had come back to do the job. Once, I called and talked to woman name Tracy and she stated she would have him call me back. Mr. Fry and my 500.00 is in the wind. I googled his name and discovered he was a known con artist. Please be aware of him because I'm now fearful since I googled him and found out he is serial con artist and criminal. He has also been exposed on my local Fox News channel "Hall of Shame" to bad I didn't know about him before I entrusted him to work on my porch. The man should be in jail he's a serial predator.
