Dorschel Collision/Service Broke the starter on my truck but won't admit it was their fault! Rochester, New York

We brought our 2005 Toyota Sequoia into Dorschel Collision to repair the bumper and rear tail light after sliding on some ice. They called us to let us know it was ready to be picked up. An hour later, we received another phone call letting us know that the truck wouldn't start.  This truck is in perfect condition, we only drive it 6 months out of the year and have never, ever had a problem with it. It only has 30,000 miles on it!!  So, we figured that someone left a door open, light on, etc, and the battery was dead. They told us that they jumped it but the battery won't hold the charge. An hour later, they called again and said they would take it over to the service center and run it through diagnostics, at no charge to us. Gee, really?  An hour after that, they call us back and tell us that the starter needs to be replaced, to the tune of $800!!!!!!   To say we blew a gasket is putting it mildly!!  There is NO way on earth that the starter goes after 30,000 miles!!!!!!!   NO WAY!!  We kept asking what happened and their only explanation was "these things happen".  They wouldn't take the blame for it at all!!  We are livid right now. And of course, there's no way we would let them fix it, so we had it towed to a garage that we trust. He has the truck right now and if he finds that it's Dorschel's fault, then we will go from there: Better Business Bureau, Attorney General, Small Claims Court, etc.  They have not heard the end of it. We called 3 other mechanic shops and they all said the same thing - that should NOT happen to a Toyota with 30,000 miles on it. After telling people this story, I've heard several more horror stories about Dorschel. 3 days before Xmas, I won't have my truck for at least a week, and I'm shelling out money to fix someone else's mistake. We are DISGUSTED right now!
