My daughter was put in jail on DUI. I was given names and phone numbers of lawyers by the police.  Long story made short:  I could have bailed out my daughter by paying $2000 to the jail and I would be refunded the money after trial or I could pay a bail-bondsman $400 for the bail posting.  I called Mr. Douglas T. Floyd, lawyer in Plano Texas, because I had no idea what I should do.  His secretary told me his charge was $2000 and could we come in on Monday to discuss the case.  I assumed the $2000 was his fee for representation.  Courtney was released and at our appointment we found out that the $2000 was only for bail????  His services would be in addition to the $2000 and I wouldn't get any of my money back after trial????

I was livid.  Do not use this lawyer or anyone he is connected with.  I feel like they knew exactly what to say and do to rip me off.  Now I still have to retain a lawyer.
