Terry L Spriggs sold our family a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser with an undisclosed overheating and check engine trouble code (P0420) issue.  This resulted in us having to replace the catalytic converter, radiator, radiator thermostat, and radiator temperature sensor. The repairs were in excess of $1,000.

While the vehicle was listed "as-is", this is no defense to fraudulent misrepresentation of the vehicle condition, which was indicated to be "Runs good, Drives goods (sic)"

When we asked Mr. Spriggs to make this misrepresentation right, he hired a lawyer and accused us of extortion and threatened to sue us if we filed a complaint about his practices. We've rescinded our request for Mr. Spriggs to (voluntarily) reimburse our expenses (partially or otherwise) and have chosen instead to warn others about his sales practices.

When our driver picked up the vehicle, the check engine light had been reset just prior to delivery. After our driver was around 100 miles down the road the check engine light came on.

We have since discovered the business he sold the vehicle to us under,  DOWNTOWN CLASSIC CARS OF RADCLIFF, LLC, is listed with the KY Sec. of State as having a "Bad" Standing and "Inactive" Status.  This can be verified @ http://goo.gl/gE0vW

Mr. Spriggs is also doing business under TERRY'S RENT-A-CAR, LLC.  Under this business name he has received other Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaints.

Additionally, Mr. Spriggs has received other negative reviews on Google+ here: https://plus.google.com/116274852258522205916/about?gl=us&hl=en

Mr. Spriggs is a seller on eBay, listed under http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/terry8538/

Jim's "Little Man" Issues

AUTHOR: Wise1 - ()

POSTED: Sunday, March 17, 2013

So here's an example of someone who has yet to realize there is a COST to their behavior.  Yes, Jim in Orlando absolutely *loves* to be "right" (in his own mind) by making others "wrong."  His "payoff" is to feel big and strong to compensate for being dominated himself as a youth.  Yes it's obvious that Jim has deep disturbing parental guardian issues.  It's very sad really, that Jim (or anyone else) would spend the brief moments they have here on earth to cause pain and suffering, rather than joy and peace.  Jim feels the need to lash out at strangers so he can feel superior, at least for a fleeting moment.  Perhaps one day Jim will realize that if he keeps going for the easy "payoff" of "being right" and "dominating others" that he will continue to be sad, alone, and unfulfilled.  Yes, Jim's deepest unacknowledged fear is that *he* is inferior himself.  So long as he believes this lie he will continually try to compensate for it.  Too bad for Jim that his behavior will result in no one wanting to be around him.  Rather than acknowledge this, he'll risk slipping into deeper disillusionment, pessimism, and ultimately self-destruction.  Hopefully he'll read this and realize the cost of his behavior is his *own* happiness, love, affinity, and joy.  Time to grow up Jim or end up dieing alone.  Any fool can point out the failings of another.  Why don't you remove the plank from your own eye before pointing out the dust particle in another?  Fools despise wisdom.  At the wise depart from fools.  Goodbye Jim.

P. T. Barnum would love you!  You apparently bought this car from somebody you don't know...a car you've NEVER seen...NEVER test driven...NEVER checked over for body imperfections...NEVER heard the engine run...NEVER had your own mechanic check over.  Now you discover you've bought a rusted out piece of junk.  When people do STUPID things with cars, they get the results they reaped.  As per P. T. Barnum..."A sucker is born every minute!"  You've demonstrated that very, very well.  Enjoy your junk!
