Pooldeals.com has to be the worst etailer I've ever dealt with.

I purchased a pool liner on 4/29/07 (nearly all the others complaining here are also waiting on pool liners). Pooldeals.com charged my credit card on 5/1. I started sending them requests asking why my liner had yet to ship about 5/10. No response from them via their web tool, phone calls (can only leave message - no live people) or emails to owner (Charlie Doss) via 2 email addresses I found for him online. All communication has been IGNORED.

Mr. Doss has the temerity to accuse one poster here of inputting the wrong email address hence the reason Mr. Doss' company never replies. Believe me, I input my correct email and phone number on every communication to them. I wonder what excuse he'll think of to explain me away? This company is a joke. Are they busy? I have no doubt they are; however, it is inexcusable to take peoples' money and then do nothing to fulfill an order afterwards. Part of being in business is satisfying customers. If you can't handle the business you're getting go find something simpler to do for a living.

Right now I have absolutely no idea when or (worse) if I'll ever get my pool liner. I've certainly paid for my liner. My order is still open and I haven't yet called my credit card company or the authorities about this company. I believe the NY Attorney General takes great interest in consumer fraud (at least Eliot Spitzer did when he was the NY AG). If my liner doesn't ship within the next week (note, this'll be an entire month since my order) I'm pursuing my legal options.

DPD Pools, Pooldeals.com : Finally received pool liner after 3+ weeks

AUTHOR: Charles - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 21, 2007

3 weeks and a day after placing my order for a 'Coral Shimmer' above ground pool liner it unexpectedly arrived (ordered 4/29 - arrived 5/21). I say 'unexpectedly' because pooldeals.com website order tracking still shows "P" for item will ship in 1-3 days. In addition, as my original 'rip-off' report outlined I tried 5+ times to get a 'why hasn't my order shipped yet' answer from these people for the past 10 or 11 days (via their web tool, emails to the owner Charlie Doss and phone messages). At no time did pooldeals.com respond to my plaintive wails for help.

While I'm happy my ordeal seems to be over (I'll know for sure after I successfully install liner and determine it is in good shape) Mr. Doss really needs to get his act together regarding service after the sale. Yes, I received my liner but it was a hard road to get to that end.

For those still waiting my liner invoice/packing notice indicates DPD Pools sent my order to the liner manufacturer, S.K. Plastics, on 5/2/07. From what I can tell the delay in shipping the liner rests with S.K. Plastics. I can believe they were swamped with orders at this time of year, however/once again, Mr. Doss' company should have kept his customers informed regarding the delay due to backorders. BTW, S.K. Plastics shipped to me from Brooklyn, NY (I live in Philadelphia, PA so it got here pretty fast once shipped).

Will I buy from pooldeals.com again? I'm not sure (not completely ruling him out). Over on Yahoo retailer reviews the company scores quite well. Right now I've still got agita from the past 3 weeks.
