Dear friend, I was employed as specialist doctor with Dr. Balwant Singh's Hospital Inc. Guyana in the year 2005. In the begning they were good in getting visa from the Guyana High Commission, New Delhi and sending the flight tickets. They promised housing and facilities. I was told that I will be paid for the on call. They recieved me from the airport and treated me good for the first few weeks. Then they showed their real colour. They started delaying the salary release. They were cheating the government by showing less salary and importing instruments and machinaries and hospital needs in others names or showing it as donations. I was just one of the many who got trapped in there. in my 4 years of experience atleast 5 or 6 doctors got fired just for silly ego reasons, 10 or 12 nursing staffs got terminated and others too. even the local people of Guyana refuses to work for them. They wont release your payment during termination and you will have to beg for your tickets. They will never give you the return tickets, nor holidays or leave as mentioned in the contract, but surely they will take out the money for the tickets they spent for you from your salary. Once you reach there, you cant escape from the country. You must be surprised how I was there working for them for 4 years! If my salary more than 14, 000US$ was not paid to me, if you were on my place, whet you will do? Their torturing dosnt end there. You know 2 Indian girls who tried to escape from their trap were brought back from half the way by claiming to the police that they were using fake US transit visa eventhough it was genuin. More than 5 paramedical staffs were denied to pay their salary end forced to go back home without tickets and required transit visa.

So friends I kindly request you, if you gets a offer from the great Dr. Balwant Singh's Hospital Inc. of Guyana, please dont accept the offer. If you dont work for them, its only that you wont be getting money. But if you work for them you will have to get money from your home to go back once terminated.
