Dr. Chadry, CVPH MHU Dr. Chadry, Dr. Zuniga, Dr. Smith, Dr. Guilani / CVPH MHU Drs do pregnant patients on a MHU ward have basic rights? Plattsburgh New York

I was hospitalized on the MHU at CVPH from February 2007until my daughters birth at the end of April of 2007. I was pregnant for my daughter and was experiencing depression created as a direct result of being physically pregnant. I was hospitalized against my will.

The issue I want to make is I feel my rights as a person where broke down and attacked by the doctors of CVPH Medical Center on the MHU floor. This is shown in several examples.

March 29, 2007 Dr. Chaudry told me that if I wanted a bed more apporpriate for my pregnant condition that I was to have my family buy me a bed for the hospital.
April 4,2007- Dr. Chaudry willingly admitted to contacting CPS worker Liz Smith to discuss notifying her immediately once my daughter was born so they can get court oders started for me to loose her.

These are just a couple very specific dated examples. I was made to be on strict bedrest were I was not allowed a shower for days. I was put on suicide watch if I was upset about the situation. I was not allowed usage of a phone frequently to call family or my lawyer. I was made to wear the hospital garment even though it physically cut into my skin and made it bleed. I was not allowed privacy even with my OBGYN doctor, Dr. Usha Saha. I was accused of trying to kill my unborn baby by wearing shoes with a half inch heel on them and on another occasion by going to get a mustard packet from the dining area.

Dr. Guilani lied on legal documents and in front of a judge about claiming to see me and made a false testimony about me during my retention hearing to try to be released from the hospital. I was retained on the MHU unit against my will per court order.

The doctors of the CVPH MHU mentally broke me down. I am still working in therapy for the damage they caused to me mentally.
