Dr. Kara Plastic Surgery - Whitby Ontario Left me disfigured and charged for work they never did Whitby Ontario

I Do NOT recommend Dr Kara and this office/staff. I had a lower body lift with Fleur de lis tummy tuck and liposuction to flanks and abdomen in Aug 2017. Immediately after surgery I expressed displeasure with the results and left over skin. And by leftover, I mean handfuls (I had lost 100lbs and he left so much more skin then he said he would take).

They told me I had to wait 6 months to see full results. Well 6-7 months later the results did not changed. I have tried to work with Dr Kara and Melissa regarding revision surgery since Feb 24, 2018 and just keep getting the run around. They told me it will be another $6,000 (on top of the $19,775 I already paid) to take any more skin.

Only after I questioned discrepancies on my OR report (it appears they never did the lipo I paid for) did they finally start to do anything. They asked me to come in for a final assessment and would put together a ‘case cost’ to breakdown only the expenses they would pass on to me. Oddly enough the grand total was still $6,000.

I have spoken to a former employee of Dr Kara’s and they told me this ‘case cost’ is just a waste-your-time ploy! Which is likely true because I have requested a detailed outline of this ‘case cost’ and still have not received it. I have had 3 additional opinions from surgeons in the GTA and was told I need the entire procedure done again!!

Or at a minimum a full tummy tuck and then lipo/fat transfer to fix my buttock where he left large indentations just below the incision line. Please do not get sucked into Dr Kara and his office - they just pass you around and around when something needs to be fixed afterwards. I have learned that revisions are common in plastic surgery but Dr Kara can’t handle this part of the process and gets defensive.

I have him recorded in my last assessment where he constantly interrupts me when I try to talk and then mocks me by saying “If we could do that we could really do amazing work with the whole body, I could probably than pull your face down to here too”. Of course by down here, he was referring to my stomach!! This man is unprofessional and rude! Please go anywhere else!!!

I have issues a formal complaint to the CPSO, where he admitted he never did the lipo suction that I paid for, never told me it was eliminated from the procedure and has never paid me a dime in refund for work not completed.

He doesn't care about you or your understanding of the procedure...please read this CBC article...
