Dr. Kashif Alvi Urologic Surgeons of Az. Botched basic prostate surgery Mesa Arizona

Met with Dr. Alvi discuss options for prostate. He explained the green light laser and recommended that. I came back days later to discuss and he changed his mind a recommended Urolift and thought we should do that. The procedure was done in the office.  I was supposed to be done in 20 minutes ( which I was ) and it was very uncomfortable. Really should have been done in hospital with sedation.  

Afterward I was told to go on about my day and everything would be fine. No info about post surgery was given. 6 hours later I was in the ER in excruciating pain, and was there for 6 days. 4 days were constant incredible pain & blood filled urine. I seemed to be an inconvenience to him and it took 3 days for him to just come see me and he still did nothing. Hospital Dr. insisted something had to be done but was Saturday and he would not work on his day off but sent his partner.

I seemed like an inconvenience for him and he could care less about the pain I was in.  

He was Very hard to get on the phone and slow in responding both to me and the hospital. He pushes everything off on his P A and made it difficult to see him. After things cleared up he did the laser and that has seemed to work. I was on a catheter for a month and had a total of 9 catheters inserted ( the really big ones ). I also incurred substantial additional expense due to the hospital stay and insurance got stuck with $37,000 for something that should have never happened.  I had a follow up appointment 4 months later.  I had received a bill for $60 in co pays and ask for that to be waived since the first surgery was botched and all.  He refused to see me unless I paid the $60.   I wanted to have the follow up before changing dr. but am not going to pay that $60 and will change now.
