Dr. Kristoffer Ning Chang BOTCHED SURGERY!!! San Francisco California

I came to Dr. Chang for a similar issue... a bad liposuction outcome that needed fat grafting to fill the disfigured/over-suctioned areas.  Dr. Chang was my savior.  I thought I would spend the rest of my life deformed.  I am now about 13 years post surgery and all the work he did still looks great.  I recently went back for a medical need (not cosmetic) -- I needed fat grafting done on my foot due to an atrophied fat pad from a cortisone injection.  

Dr. Chang had never done a fat transfer to this location before, but he researched it thoroughly and made excellent judgment calls about how and how much to inject, and was very clear about the possibility that the fat would not stay over the long term (as it hadn't in a related study he found).  But so far, 5 months later, everything looks great.  Dr. Chang has always been extremely professional and respectful.  

I cannot imagine him being anything but--to me the idea that he would intentionally humiliate this patient as she claims in her other review here, is absolutely ludicrous.  He is a caring, skilled, intelligent, professional doctor with a very respectful, soft-spoken and patient bedside manner.  I would go to him again and send any of my friends or family that needed fat grafting done, in a heartbeat.  Please do not let this woman's review deter you from getting the benefit of his care.

This guy IS a moron. His name is Greg, and has posted negative things about Dr. Friedenthal, a highly respected doctor, saying he damaged his wife.   I wouldn't be so stupid and arrogant as to say that because I had a positive experience with Friedenthal that that meant that his wife didn't have a negative one.  And the worst thing that I did was cry?  This guy Greg is a control freak who will not allow his wife to say anything, he has to talk for her.  He posts on the internet about what happened to her, she is silent.  I wanted to talk to her about her experience, but Greg apparently won't let her.  I guess you won't let her cry, either?   And his comment about the legal case shows more of his stupidity and ignorance.  I supposed OJ was innocent because he was found not guilty?  Everyone knows that whoever has the most money and/or the best lawyer wins. 

Dr Chang has expertise in liposuction revision and fat transfer. He is a conservative and cautious man that sticks with what works, not what is the latest risky fad. My wife has had three surgeries with Dr Chang, so I know his work well. He is not a magician, he does the best he can, and does not over-promise. He has had great success with my wife on many procedure, with a few exceptions. That is the nature of plastic surgery. It is NOT guaranteed. I also know VS and believe her to be unreasonable, arrogant and a nasty hothead. She cries a lot in public. She cried in court because Dr Chang used her photos in his own defense. She cried in another doctors office before he kicked her out, she told me this herself. She called me a moron for supporting this doctor. If he truly committed battery she would have a legal case. She sued the doctor and LOST because she has no case. There may be better doctors for certain procedures, if one is willing to travel. There are better patients too. If I were a doctor I would not touch VS with a ten foot pole!

 I meant to say that Dr. Richard Alan Weiss should know better that eyelid surgery isn't for me because I have dry eyes and filled out the patient medical history background form with that information .  You would think that an eye doctor will honestly tell  that to their patients, but not Dr. Richard A. Weiss.  I only found this out from the internet not  that  long ago  The only thing Dr. Richard A. Weiss Care about is money.  Dr. Richard A. Weiss is super evil and dishonest doctor. Please don't let him fool you like he did to me. Please don't let him ruined your face for life like he did to me.

  My name is Jennifer and I understand your situation.  Too many doctors aren't qualify to do plastic surgeries and they do it anyway cuz of the money that comes from it is very lucrative.   I am a victim of a super botched eyelid surgery.   At age of 27 in 1992, Dr. Richard A. Weiss in Newport Beach, Ca mutilated my face.  I went to him to fix uneven inner eyelid creases done by another surgeon.  I was lucky that previous surgeon listen to my wishes and concerns  and he didn't scar me.  The scar he left on me was very thin and not even noticeable to the makeup artiist I used soon after surgery to take professional photos.  Back in 1992, I did not know uneven eyelid creases is the biggest problem from eyelids surgeries.  Back then, there was no internet to get any information either. After doing research, I decided to used Dr. Richard to do the revision surgery cuz he is an eye doctor.  Little did I know then that this baster didn't listen to anything I said or wrote anything down at inital consultation. He made a huge mess on the top part of my face.  In order to sue a doctor you must have an expert witness and usually  it is almost impossibe to find one that will testify against their own peers. If you are a multimillionare and have money to throw away then you will find an expert witness.   Dr. Weiss did not fix  the problem  I paid him to do, he did his own experiment on my face without my consent  which is cutting me up all over my eye lids, to the sides of my eyes, above my eyebrows.  My eyelid creases are very lumpy and have zig zag stitch markings along the entire  both creases and it is super puckered.  My eyelids below the crease line have deep indentation from  him pulilng on the skin so tight.  He sewn my eyelid creases to part of my eyelids to my eyebrows.  I have so much deep indentations inside my eyebrow and some of it extents to the sides of my forehead.  Also I  Have spider web like scars to the side of each of my eyes.  I did not know it was considered battery when he touched my eyebrows and forehead.  Remember their was no internet to get infomation from and I didn't have a whole lot of money at age 27 to go after this butcher either.   Dr. Weiss left me with two different size eyes and shape of eyes at age of 27.  In his attempt to fix a deep incision he made outside of my right eyelid crease, he pulled down too much skin cuzing my right eyebrow to droop 1/4" from my left eyebrow.  This is a nightmare which I lived with since early spring 1992. I cannot find a surgeon that can tell me he can fix the problems due to too many scars, indentations, deep needle marks and just really ugly scars.   I original seek eyelid surgery cuz a lady at the spa where I did a facial and permanent lower eyelid tatooing told me I can get the extra creases on my eyelids removed.   That was the first time I heard of such a type of surgery.  I didn't like how the extra creases was located on each of my eyelids cuz  I couldj't use eyeliner on my upper creases.  The extra crease  was at an angle and if I use eyeliner, it make wouldn't  look good.   I  regreted the day I met this Dr. Richard A. Weiss.  He tried to remove all  my  postings what he done to me.  I am glad I found this website so I can let people be aware of this quack!!!!!!!!  I tried to let others know about him on makemeheal.com, realself.com, and yelp.com, his numerous youtube videos, but he got  all my comments removed. Only postiive comments are allowed for Dr. Richard A. Weiss out in Newport Beach, CA.  All his botched work cannot be known.    I have so many cuts on my eyelids and this baster thinks I want to look that way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  My eyes make me look like I am an asian woman in my 70's and above.  

No one knows that there are so many bad doctors out there until you become  their victims.  Dr. Richard A. Weiss did not tell me that he will be cutting me up all over the place and give me so much scars.  I was blind sided by eyelid surgery brochures at doctor's office stating that eyelid surgery only leaves you a hairline scar hidden inside the folds of your eyelid creases.   Remember it was 1992, and it isn't like today, that you can even talk to a lawyer online.  Anyway besides mutilating my face, he also  shouldn't have told me that eyelid surgery isn't for me.  I  had answered questionaire and marked that I have dry eyes.  His surgery made my dry eye condition really bad.   You would think an eye doctor would know that better. I didn't even know that myself until  several years ago from information on the internet.  You want to see my mutilated face. You will feel so sorry for me if you see How I used to look like before Dr. Weiss Butchered my face.   I am in the San Francisco Bay area too!

To those who made comments about my report, maybe you should know a little more about what you are talking about before you criticize me. First of all, he didn't make any serious mistakes in the first 4 surgeries, and only one of those was major surgery, the other 3 were in- office minor procedures. Secondly, I don't have a choice of getting more surgery. My knees were damaged by the first doctor and I have constant pain. And I can't believe that you can read a report like that and not say a word about a doctor operating on the wrong parts, you just criticize me?

Personally, if a plastic surgeon botched a job on me - I would not allow him another 4 times to get it right, or touch my body again. If his equipment and technique are dated by decades as you claim, why would you even let him near you? Also, you state that he was fixing a previous surgeons mistakes? They're surgeons, not magicians, and I'm wondering if thats why you're feeling ripped off.

You went to this doctor to get repair work done by another doctor. This doctor did FIVE surgeries on you. You're not happy with these surgeries and now you have to go to ANOTHER doctor to have more repair work done. Here's a suggestion. Stay out of doctor's offices. You're gonna look like that cat lady in NY or that hair dresser in LA or MJ.
