Dr Michael Savoia DDS PBG Smiles Tried to take my entire pay check! Palm Beach Gardens Florida

I read the report a gentleman made about Dr.Savoia and what he had done to his wife while doing research on implants. When I found the article that some other employee's husband wrote I about fell over! I often tell people about my horrific experience with this dentist as well. Quite frankly I was surprised he was still practicing!

I too had just moved down to Florida several years ago when I got a job with him. I also thought he seemed real friendly and ethical at first. After about two weeks he started the same verbal abusive remarks with me. He had on several occasions reprimanded me in an abusive manner for sterilizing instruments after surgical procedures instead of just wiping them. He said he was short on instruments and he didn't have "the time" to sterilize them. When I suggested he buy extra as to not have this predicament again he flipped out and called me names that I can't even mention and began to yell about the cost of running a dental office!

Being a well educated dental assistant and taking pride in my work I not only had a problem with his lack of ethics but I was horrified at his sterilization techniques! Being new to the area and having several bills to pay I HAD to stay though until I found a new job. Thank God within weeks I found another job and not wanting a bad employment history I unfortunately gave him notice BEFORE I got my paycheck.

When payday came he called me in his office and said he was deducting my entire check for having to change the LOCKS on all the door as he felt I took fifty dollars from the drawer. First of all... I never worked at the front desk and second... I may have done a lot of things in my life but stealing wasn't one of them and three... why didn't he ask me about this before he deducted my pay? I was devastated! I had just moved to Florida and with him being the lowest paying dentist in Palm Beach County already I was counting on every penny just to survive.

This guy is the biggest rip off, not only as an employer but also as a dentist. I have never seen a dentist do the unethical things he does in my entire career! Amen for this website!
