DR Power division is a nightmare. I purchased a $1400 chipper online 3 weeks ago. Their web site says the order will be processed in 6 to 9 days. I'd heard nothing about my order so I called. The item hasn't even been built yet. They said it's supposed to be built in about a week then another week for delivery. Seriously? It will have been a total of over 5 weeks!


I purchased the item because I NEED one and I believed their web site. Shame on me for trusting them! Not only do they lie about their fulfilling orders but they don't even have the decency to keep me posted of delays. All this says volumes about their customer service. If I'd known it was going to take this long I would have shopped elsewhere. There are many other equally well made chippers out there. Their promise of fulfilling orders is a ruse to get your money like a contractor who starts a project then leaves to work on others while your home is in total chaos.


Also, I felt my phone call to them was met with only lip service and no concern for their failure.
I'll never buy anything from them again and make sure others are aware of their horrible service.

Thank you DR. I picked up my chipper today. Soon after posting my complaint, I received phone calls and emails apologing for the delay. I'm now completely satisfied and feel DR will make things right if you rattle them. I told the people who called that their communication needs work. I'm not unreasonable and can undetstand delays if such is communicated in a timely manner which didn't happen in this case.

After 3 weeks, I hadn't heard anything and called their customer service line and was told the machine hadn't even been made yet and would be ready for shipping in a week. They either got on the stick after my posting or the person I spoke with had totally wrong information. Furthermore, the person I spoke with seemed dismissive about the problem, which didn't make me feel very happy with DR. My best advice for DR is to communicate better and update your systems to provide correct information. In the end I have to say "Thank You DR."

I apologize for your chipper taking longer than we stated online. Your chipper shipped yesterday which puts it at 12 business days since the order was placed.

I assure you that we take it very seriously when we go beyond our shipping quote times. We will definitely take corrective action on this. Thank you for bringing your dissatisfaction to our attention.

If you have any issue at all after you receive your chipper, do not hesitate to contact us. We will be here to help!
