Drain Genius LLC, Dwight Sweeney Failure to Pay Bills, Misrepresents Qualifications as Plumber to Customers, Meanwhile Drives a $130,000+ BMW Denver Colorado

Dwight Sweeney, owner Drain Genius, is one year delinquent paying our company for sewer repair jobs we performed as a sub contractor for Drain Genius.

Dwight Sweeney, owner of Drain Genius LLC, hired our company to perform sewer excavation and repair jobs as a sub contractor for Drain Genius customers. Over the last year we have performed six jobs for Dwight Sweeney and Drain Genius. Our company pulled all the proper permits to perform these jobs, all of the projects were completed to code, passed city inspections, and had no complaints from the customers.

Dwight Sweeney collected 100% of the funds due from the customers for the aforementioned jobs. To date, he has not paid our company any money for the services we performed. The jobs were completed and he was properly invoiced in a timely manner. We have continually made attempts to contact Dwight Sweeney to get payment for the services we performed, with no response or any payments whatsoever.

The amount owed our company for the sewer jobs that we performed totals $18,000. We have tried to collect these funds owed for a year. Dwight Sweeney owner of Drain Genius, refuses to acknowledge our invoices, return our calls or emails, and or provide any payments.

Drain Genius LLC continues to sell sewer repairs and leads customers to believe that he is a licensed plumber and does not use sub-contractors. In reality, he is not a licensed plumber and does not have the necessary licenses and qualifications to perform any sewer or plumbing repairs or installations. Thus, he always has to use a sub contractor to get jobs done, and hires companies such as ours to perform these projects. Dwight Sweeney continues to sell sewer and water line repairs and represents himself to customers as something that he is not.

Afford A Rooter has never experienced a situation like this in over 20 years of performing plumbing work, where someone is not paying us, and attempting to get away with reneging on their obligations, and representing themselves as a licensed plumbing to customers when they are not.

Other companies, peers and friends in the industry in the Denver metro area, have informed us that they have experienced the same issues with Dwight Sweeney of Drain Genius LLC regarding receiving payment for services performed.

Because of non-payment, we will be forced to file liens on the customers properties to ensure that payment of funds owed is collected.

Let this complaint provide warning to all potential sewer and excavation companies that he attempts to hire a sub contractor, or residential and commercial customers looking to get sewer repairs, excavations, or drain and plumbing work done, that you are dealing with someone that is misrepresenting his qualifications and company, and does not pay his bills, putting your company, your home, or you personally at risk for negative financial ramifications.

Desired Settlement

Our desired resolution is for Dwight Sweeney, owner of Drain Genius LLC, to immediately submit payment to our company for services we have performed for Drain Genius LLC over the last year. The total is $18,000. If Dwight Sweeney of Drain Genius LLC does not make payment in full we will be forced to file liens on the customers homes and business where the work was performed, and we will sue Mr. Dwight Sweeney and Drain Genius LLC in court for full payment, damages, interest, attorney and court fees.
