Draws Financial, Final Notice-Ticket Won Second Category of Sweepstakes and Lottery Draw Etobicoke Ontario

I received a letter today from Draws Financial Inc., 540 Kingston St., Etobicoke, ON. Canada P3X 5N6, saying I was a winner in the second category of Sweepstakes Lottery Draw held 1/10/08, with a check enclosed for the amount of $4,850.00 deducted from my winnings to assist me in paying for the Non Resident Government Tax - $2,850.00 to go to Tax Agent, Janet Parker, 607 Campbell Ave., Etobikoke, ON, Canada H2J 1K5 by money gram or Western Union, but not to do anything until contacting John Crawford, my assigned claim agent, at 1-416-822-7901, letter was signed by John Garfield (Promotions Manager).

Check was drawn on a Union National Bank & Trust Co, 10 Broad St, Souderton, PA 18964, from New Century Productions, 300 East Roch Road, Allentown, PA 18783 - looked real, but checking upon New Century Productions on the Internet Yellow Pages, came up with the company, but although the address was the same, Roch was spelled Rock in the Yellow Pages. I checked on the bank and there is no such bank in Souderton, PA with that address.

I also wondered how these people came up with my name and address as additionally reported by Teresa in Perkasie, PA on your Ripoff Report. I did not enter any sweepstakes or lottery drawing in Canada. It appears that you also have other stories with the same 'John Garfield' and the same scam. Hopefully you can do something.
