Drees Company/homes Drees builds home with leaks-Family is sick with toxic mold-must evacuate home. Alexandria, Nationwide

I purchased a Drees home in Nov 05,I paid $900,000 for what I thought was my "dream" home-it turned out to be more like a "nightmare" home!! We notified them of leaks during construction which they said would be resolved before closing-we took them at their word-OUR MISTAKE!!!

In Feb 06 I started getting violent migraines that would last for weeks at a time. I visited the hospital 9 or 10 times during the year of Feb 06-May 07. The Doctors thought I had different types of cancer,first brain then carcinoid,then adrenal gland and put me through multiple and painful tests.

My husband noticed after a storm that there was water coming in through the windows in the basement and now even through the foundation. Subsequently we notified Drees immediatley and they came and put a "band aid" on the situation,using a little caulk sealant, we continued to have leaks!

Of course that didn't work and in Jan o7 we found mold kin the insulation-At this point I was so ill,the doctors were going to send me away to a specialized hospital as they had no idea why I was getting sicker and not responding to any of the medications.

My 10yr old daughter was also getting bad nosebleeds that would last for 20-30 mins only when she was home and severe headaches-she was given Cat Scans to check for tumors.

We moved out in May 07 and I haven't had a headache or been ill since,my husband has developed Asthma and is seeing a pulmunoligist and I have to carry an Epipen as my immune system is hyper sensitive due to being exposed to such toxicity. We now find out from their window contractor that DREES KNEW ABOUT THE LEAKS in the homes since 2003 and when the contractor asked what they would do they said"WE WILL FIX THEM AS THE PROBLEMS ARISE"

My family never should have had to suffer all that time ,DREES KNEW our model The Wesley had leakage problems.

We are renting a small townhouse and all our things are in "The HELL house",we can't be around anything that has been in the house as my throat closes up and I find it hard to breathe. It has been a horrifying experience and all we want Drees to do is buy back the home so we can go on with our lives.THEY WONT DO ANYTHING TO HELP US!!! Is there someone who can help us please-we just want to have a home and live a normal life.
