For the past two years my husband and I have been putting up with a smell in our home. We have communicated directly with the Drees Custom Home regional President David Harbin. We have even written the national CEO David Drees about this odor and as of July 6, 2008 it's still here. We discovered a leak in the foundation, took pictures and are still waiting to hear back from the Drees. We have been dealing with never ending home repair issues for the past 15 months. Our lives have been consumed by these never ending repairs and the frustration of dealing with Drees and its lack of empathy. At this point we are exhausted.

We have sent correspondence to U.S. Representative Sam Johnson (3rd District of Texas), U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson (State of Texas) and U.S. Senator John Cornyn (State of Texas) seeking assistance with this matter. During this time of high home foreclosures, high gas prices and a rapidly increasing cost of living, I am asking the public to join me in not allowing Drees to take advantage of home owners. My husband was sent here to protect the state of Texas from terrorism and now we need to be protected from companies like Drees. Drees must be held responsible and accountable for the homes they sell to consumers and the State of Texas should help protect homeowners from companies practicing faulty construction and shady workmanship like Drees. DON"T BUY DREES!

AUTHOR: Drees Slab Leak - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, February 21, 2011

I am so sorry to read about your Drees home. I too own a Drees home with a slab leak. I am not sure what to do next. I would appreciate your response.

Is this problem still going on ?

How did you discover there was a slab leak ?

Was the slab leak a sewer line that broke under  the foundation causing the odor ?

What caused the slab leak ?

What sort of never ending repairs ?

Did you hire your own engineer ?

Did you hire an attorney ?

Thank you----
