decided it was time to get the old bike ready for summer so i pulled it out of my garage put it on my truck and hauled it to Dreyer. I needed a new battery and a new chain put on. I purchased the chain, battery, and a couple of screws I would need from the parts department and took them to service to have them put on. They advertise, same day service on chains and tires, but this was not the case with me because I had to wait for the battery to charge anyway. Now get ready for the bad. 1. The bike was late in getting done; I wasn't able to pick it up until late in the afternoon instead of in the morning like I was told. 2. I was charged $40.00 to put a battery in. In case you have no experience with this there are two bolts and the process takes about 2 minutes. I called 3 other dealerships and ask them if I was to purchase a battery from them how much would they charge to put it in. The answer was the same $0.00. Looking back I should have told them to take the battery out I will do it myself but you live and you learn. 3. They did not seal the battery they installed correctly. I now have toxic acid under my seat which is the storage place for bikes. I will no longer be able to haul anything there because it is eaten by acid and now unsafe for storage. Not to mention the smell that hurts my lungs when I go to get under the seat. 4. I told them to inspect the bike I was about to go on a 1200 mile cruise. They did not, on my way home the clutch cable or something with the clutch gave out and I could not change gears. If it were not for the years and years of riding experience I have I would have been stranded on U.S. 69 with a tow bill. Still my safety was sacrificed by having to ride home without being able to stop. The clutch cable was new last year and the clutch was fine when I took it in to their shop. In looking at the cable it had an unusual substance on it and was looser than normal. It is my opinion they did something to the clutch box while adjusting the chain. I however have trouble spending any time under the bike because of the battery acid they spilled everywhere. 5. I was called by a customer service rep about my experience and she reported all this to the owner. 24 hours later I have still not received a response. I have left him two voicemails and still no returned call. It appears this is business as usual at Dreyer Motorsports. I would not buy anything from them or have any work done.

What did you expect?

You drag an old bike out of the barn, bring your own parts, expect them to install them for free?  And anticipate what is going to break?  And head out on a 1200 mile trip?  Unreal...

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience

AUTHOR: MISSY DREYER - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, August 06, 2011

First of all, let me express an apology.  I was sorry to hear about this.  I searched for the company name in google today, and this website came up.  It was the first time I have heard about your bad experience.

Second of all, the people you were unhappy with do not work here anymore.  The service manager who was employed here in 2009 is no longer with the company.  In addition, ownership of the company has changed hands.

Duane Dreyer owned the dealership for several years, and he passed away in February of 2011.  He was my uncle.  Our family stood by him as he fought alcoholism, but sadly he lost the battle.  We realize now that some things fell through the cracks that shouldn't have.  Preoccupied with fighting the disease of alcoholism, he did not respond to issues such as yours.

Now Mike Dreyer owns the dealerships.  As his daughter, I make customer service our number one priority.  If anyone feels they receive less than outstanding customer service, I would like them to contact me immediately.  My direct line is 317-536-1924.  I invite anyone who had a negative experience to please let me know as soon as possible.

Once again, I'd like to express my sympathy.  Please contact me so we can resolve this.  Sincerely,  Missy Dreyer
