Drive America Road Side Service Membership Cancelled but continue to bill credit card ripoff Dallas Texas

we signed with drive america in 1999 and have never used their service. we have paid over $1,000 in fees. we contacted then on May 29, 2007 and cancelled the membership. they billed our shell credit card in june for the cancelled service, we called them they said it was cancelled. we called shell they said nothing they could do, drive america was billing the card. paid shell so we would not be late on our credit card ($13.00).

called drive america again, they said we did not bill your card service has been cancelled since May 29, 2007. july, got another bill from shell with drive america on it again, called shell after half hour on phone explained this is a fradulant charge we no longer authorized this as the service was cancelled, they could not do anything. called drive america again, service rep could not help us, said they are not billing our card, but our card shows them billing.

sent letter to shell customer service and fraud unit at shell and drive america demanding shell stop accepting charge and drive america stop charging card. Paid July bill so would not show dellinquent on credit card payment. august shell statement arrives sure enough drive america on their again.

No responses to our letters to shell or drive america. contacted shell, nothing they can do, contacted drive america, they have not been paid by shell since may even though they are billing our card. asked drive america to send letter confirming serice cancelled so we can see if that will help our cause with shell to refuse the charge. drive america refuses to send us a letter confirming cancellation, said they had already sent us a letter.

we never received a letter from drive america. we will have to pay bill again to avoid late credit report, however, we have now been forced to cancel our shell card. hopefully if drive america has no credit card to bill they will stop. both shell and drive america where completely uncooperative in this situation, neither company would help us.
