I have a very similiar history with this company and am currently waiting to hear from the office of consumer credit commission, they regulate auto loans etc., My june statement balance consisted of my regular monthly car payment of 324.66 and 170.00 that was late fees I had had for being behind 1 payment for several months. I made 2 payments in May and would be caught up after my June payment. The statement read I owed $494.14. My payment is due on the 23rd. On 6-20-09 I paid $500.00 with my debit card. That is $6.00 more than I owed them. I went on line to view my account later and they had me owing 114.11 for late fees, I called spoke to a CS rep and she said she would put in a request to accounting. I called back a week later (account in same status online) spoke to male CS rep he said she made notes but never sent the request he said he would. Called back 3 days later a female CS rep she said I owed 55.37 I argued with her and finally said to her exactly what do I owe it for? she got off and back on the phone several times and finally said "I can't tell you at this time what you owe it for" and I said that's what I thought!!! I went into my account and looked at my payment history (should have done that a long time ago)they had applied 444.63 to my car and there was 55.37 left in credit from the $500.00 I had paid and she was saying I owed it!!!! I called 2 more times and argued until I almost passed out and they continued to say "We will have someone review your account" These people are insane!!! They need a thorough investigation!! by the Consumer Credit Commission and the Attorney General, I have filed complaints in both places, everyone should so they will see the need to go in a Audit them. Back to my account these crazy people then reversed my payment and on 7-10-09 applied $385.89 to my car and the 114.11 that was left over they subtracted from my $170.00 in late fees and now say I owe them $55.00 and now my July statement says I paid 385.89 on 7-10-09 when I actually paid $500.00 on 6-20-09. I have been current since last month and they have me owing 380.00 because they show on your balance your upcoming car payment before it is even due. I have just about got my credit in a good place but I can't win this battle unless the people with authority help me. They have requested my contract, payment history. and that was on 7-17-09 they have until the 29th to answer the OCCC. But from what I'm seeing they continue to get away with this!! I'm just gonna slow down and pray that me and all the others get relief soon!!!
