BEWARE! This is an extremely deceptive and dishonest business. The short version of the story is that Katrina lied to me about an "offer" for my car, and strung me along with this fake "offer" right up until I brought my car in to sell, at which point I was told that the "offer" was a ruse and Driveo would only really give me a significantly smaller amount for my vehicle.

I contacted Driveo around a month ago for a quote to sell my vehicle before moving. I was given an "offer" of $4,000 from Katrina, who said that I could bring my car in for final inspection before I moved and that, if the car was not different than I had described it, I would receive $4,000 and a free Uber ride to the airport. This seemed like a fair offer to me, and so I turned down other similar offers and waited a month. A few days before my move, I contacted Katrina just to confirm that my $4,000 offer was still valid, and she replied that she had spoken to her manager and they were prepared to honor that offer still. I brought my car in and had it inspected, and was told it looked great and was exactly as I had described it. I was brought in to speak with Ayrat, the pricing manager, who then told me that I would be offered less than $3,000 for my car. I was shocked! I asked why I wasn't being offered $4,000, and he told me that the $4,000 "offer" I had been given was actually "just informational," and that it wasn't what Driveo would pay. He said the $4,000 "offer" was just Driveo's estimate of retail value, and that Driveo wouldn't pay that much. Katrina had never mentioned any of this, and now I was left with a few days before moving, having turned down other better offers on my vehicle, only to find out that Katrina had been lying to me for a month!

So, it seems Driveo's business practice is to quote fake "offers" on vehicles, and then lowball sellers when they arrive, knowing that by the time the seller is there they may not have other options to sell their vehicle on short notice. I would avoid doing business with Driveo at all costs.
