DRIVETIME Sold me a lemon. When I told about the problem all they were worried about was when I was going to make the next paymeny. ripoff Doraville Georgia

Drivetime sold me a 97 Dodge Avenger that had a internal engine problem like having a cylinder misfire. I was not aware of the problem. I was confronted with a check list to sign, which was part of the orginal paper work that did not say of this problem. The car was taken to several different car shops that all told me the samething about what was wrong with car and why wouldn't it stay running.

I was then faced with the fact that I hadn't had this car a month, still owed almost 13,000 on financing, the car's engine either needed to be rebuilt from start to finish, or buy another engine, and once that would be done WHICH EVER ONE YOU PICK. I then would have to replace the transmission. That's almost 5,000 needed in a car I haven't had it a month.

When told about the problem, Drivetime could only say to me "well that manager no longer works here and the only thing we are concerned about now is when will you be making a payment to bring your car note current. I had only been 1 week late since I was paying bi-weekly, and was also told that I had the option of paying monthly or bi-weekly which is false.

I then proceeded to the door. I told myself, they will never get another payment from me again, but even after that I was still willing to make a payment to keep them from coming to get the car. I could trade it in, but I didn't even get a chance before they repocessed my car, and that's the end of that!
