A dog peed on my couch cushion. On July 25, 2005, I took the cushion to Dry Clean Super Center and asked if they could clean it. The owner said that they could dry clean the cushion. She asked me to leave the cushion for about 5 days since several cleanings may be necessary.
I came back on Aug. 1, 2005 and I was told that it was not yet ready. They asked me to give them a few more days.
After a few days, I picked it up and took it home. When I got home, I opened the cushion to replace the big piece of foam that I had removed before taking it to Dry Clean Super Center. I discovered that they had removed the other two pieced of cushion foam - the foam that I had purposely NOT removed because it appeared very difficult to stuff. In addition, I noticed that they had BURNED the cushion in several places.
Trying to be nice, I spent an hour trying to re-stuff the cushions they had removed. Finally, I gave up and took it back. I asked to speak to the owner and explained what they had done. She was EXTREMEMLY rude and belligerent! She said that she had fulfilled her responsibility - she had cleaned the cushion. She claimed that they had not burned the cushion and that it was not her responsibility to put the cushion back as it had come to her. Finally, she agreed to try to re-stuff the cushion. I left the damaged cushion and a completely undamaged one with her as a model and left.
I came back about a week later to pick up the cushions. They did re-stuff it; however, it was lumpy and they had poked a hole in it. It in no way resembled the cushion that I had entrusted to her. Even worse, THEY BURNED THE PREVIOUSLY UNDAMAGED CUSHION!!! They had no reason to do anything but LOOK at the other cushion!!! The owner was so incredibly evil to me that I think she burned it on purpose.
I took my stuff home and have contemplated filing a civil suit. The cushions are ruined and I refuse to deal with the evil lady. I have NEVER been treated so rudely by a business.
