Duce Construction Company 412 West 127th Street New York, NY 10027 charged $86,000 to repair water damage for a marble shower New York New York

1.  I am fully covered for water damage by State Farm, but State Farm said that Duce overchared us by $20,000.

2.  An independant contractor appraiser reported that the repair would be less than $66,000.

3.  Duce left a high gloss shower floor that is dangerous to any user of the shower.

4.  Duce did got give replace a 4 inch beshelf in the shower.  They gave us less than 4 inches so that we cannot put the normal shampoo and similar product on that shelf sideways.  The dimishishes the function of the shelf.

5.  Duce tried to ge the dark color out of the damaged marble tile in the floor but only partially succeeded.

6.  Duce now wants $4,000 to hone the bathroom floor.

7.  Duce tore our the bathroom shower stall before we were able to match the marble.  It took something like  4 months to find the matching tile. That4,000 meant that we had to live with the dirt and dust for over 4 months.  Duce should have allowed us to buy the marble first befpre tearing down the marble shower

8.  Duce has filed a mechanics lien for the $20,000.  I will now have to litigate that lien and let the court know that Duce overcharged us and was less than fully competent in resoring the bathroom shower.  Duce should have also offered to hone the floor that they worked on and not charge $4,000 more for that honing.

9. Duce promised to complete the work in less than one month and it in fact too over 6 mnths.

10.  Duce never estimated the cost of the project.  It is my opinion that that was not done so that they could charge $86,000 to replace a marble shower stall.
