Durizon Roofing Took my money and ran SAN ANTONIO Texas

Daniel Garcia represented himself as the owner of this company when he came to my home to bid my roofing job after the hail storms in April. He was aware I was worried about being taken advantage of by a "fly by night company" he brought me insurance binders and contracting license information.

We talked for a while before I signed the contract, we agreed that the work would start in early July he asked if I had received the intial check from the insurance company which as a little over $2,700.00, I hadn't received it, he said to call him when I received it and he would pick it up.

I called him a couple weeks later which was the beginning of June, he came toward the end of June, after I gave him the check and he was leaving, I asked what day they would be starting, he stated they were farther behind than he anticipated and it would be the beginning of August,

I called the beginning of August only to be put off, I called the following week, to be told that they would not be able to do the work because the company was going out of business and he was not able to return my money.

I spoke to one nieghbor who also hired Durizon, but delt with Mark Rodriguez only to find out he had been taken for $8,000.00, in total there were 3 of us on the same block that were taken by this company, not sure how much the other nieghbor was taken for.

I immediatley tried to contact the news stations only to find out they Kens 5 had done a story on the company the week before, because of course they had been scaming hard working innocent people since December 2015 and they did the same thing in Dallas Texas.

I have the canceld certified check which they deposit in their bank account, I filed a police report and would like to sue the company but of course the phone numbers are no longer good and they're not at the address listed any longer. so for now I can't afford to fix my roof.
