Placed order with dutyfreecubancigars.com January 5, 2017 for $839. After a few emails inquiring as to the status of the order, 2 weeks later I get an email that saying order has finally been billed to my credit card. Inquire again as to the shipping date, finally get a response 5 days later stating they're waiting on tracking number from supplier in Switzerland. 4 more days elapse and Damian says the supplier sent fake cigars to another client and asked If I wanted a refund. I request a refund January 29, 2017.
Emailed to check on status of refund February 1. Damian states refund was processed January 31 and will show in my account 2-5 days. 6 days later, I inquire again as to the status of the refund, he's checking with Bank. 7 days later checking with Bank will update in 24 hours, 8 days later he is still checking with Bank and "will update in 24 hours", 9 days and counting he is still checking with Bank. It's now been 10 days since the refund was allegedly given and 35 days since my initial order. They still have my $839, but thankfully never sent me the "fake cigars from their supplier in Switzerland".

Just to be totally clear and accurate, Finest cuban cigars has warehouses AND offices in Hong Kong AND Switzerland according to their website. This information can be obtained by clicking on the "About Us" portion of their website. Also, duty free cuban cigars claimed that the cigars were being shipped from Switzerland in an email reply. I still have a copy of the entire email thread file saved. In closing, and to be fair and to their credit, duty free cuban cigars DID NOT send me fake cigars from their supplier and I received a refund in full 11 days after requesting said refund.

We do apologize for the incident as we had an issue with our bank and a communication error with our terminal, which had to be investigated by our bank and overseas. We did refund you on our side and the close report confirmed this however the communication to our bank was not received to further process the refund.
The company that supplied you the questionable product was NOT from Switzerland but Hong Kong and we were awaiting the return of boxes shipped to another client before we shipped yours. We did discover that those Cohiba BHK'S were in fact NOT authentic and have since terminated dealing with this HK supplier after your transaction.
They are one of 3 suppliers we have dealt with since 2009-2010 (3 months-CL & COH) and 2017(2 months-FCC) that we have discovered of wholesaling real and fake product to match there net profits. They are all out of Hong Kong and still operate online and sad to say very popular. We have since aquired all our suppliers out of Switzerland who we have so far discovered to be 100% genuine. Sincerest Regards DFCC

Damien Bancroft at dutyfreecubancigars.com is giving me a refund. To their credit, they did not sell me fake cigars from one of their suppliers in Switzerland, even though I would've been able to identify the fakes. They no longer use this supplier and I will not post the name of the supplier. I'll chalk this up as a learning experience with this seller. I'm not sure if I will order from dfcc again, but I will be getting a full refund. In the end, this supplier DID NOT sell me fake cigars and is in process of getting me a full refund.
