Duvati Wear Free Sunglasses Scam Toluca Lake California

I was Christmas shopping on Costco.com website, when a pop-up appeared asking me to complete a survey of the Costco Website. Upon completion I was awarded "Free" Duvati Sunglasses. I just had to pay $5.95 shipping.

I selected the style that I wanted out of the three presented and then reviewed the web page and saw nothing about charges other than the shipping charge. I paid the $5.95 with my bank card beleiving it was an offer from Costco.

The glasses arrived in 10 days. They were not the style I selected, but I figured it wasn't worth a hassle since they were free. There was also no Invoice or packing slip included.

However, a few days later, my bank alerted me to an overdraft due to a direct withdrawl of $95. After investigating it turns out those "FREE" sunglasses were only free for 14 days and Duvati Wear used the account I used to pay for shipping to withdrawl the $95. Furthermore, I discovered if I didn't take action they were going to continue charging $40 a month!!!

I called Duvati Wear but it was a thrid party number that was no help except to stop the recurring payments. They gave me an email address to contact and told me I could ask for an RMA number to return the glasses for refund. I emailed asking for an RMA number to return the glasses and a refund of my $95. I also stated that they didn't even send the correct pair of glasses that I selected!

The response I got was that I had exceeded the 14 day "trial" period and they would not refund my money. They also asked me to send them a picture of the glasses I received to prove they sent me the wrong pair.

I responded that receiving the wrong pair was a mute point, and I just want my money back!
